When Papa Bush was in office, all of my Democrat friends were calling for his impeachment.
When Clinton was in office, all of my Republican friends were calling for his impeachment.
When Bush Junior was in office, all of my Democrat friends were calling for his impeachment.
When Obama was in office, all of my Republican friends were calling for his impeachment.
When Trump was in office, all of my Democrat friends were calling for his impeachment.
Now Biden is in office, all of my Republican friends are calling for his impeachment.
And the only difference between you two groups is that you never look back on how we got here in the first place. You all just look back to the last guy and blame everything on him. And none of you ever look at the root cause: money.
Every time there is a conflict around the globe, the defense contractors and corporations are raking in record profits paid for by your tax dollars. And you know all those bombs and guns and ammunition that the US military just left for the Taliban? Yeah, that wasn’t a mistake. If there is no war there are no profits. And the war machine loves conflict.
But hey, as long as you can watch your movies and go out for drinks, everything is peachy keen. So don’t worry about it. Just wait for Biden to celebrate ending the Afghanistan war on the 20 year anniversary of its commencement. Because he will do that. Because that’s what politicians do.
With war comes profit, and there is no profit in peace.
