Jacob is a lifetime musician and a three time Iraq veteran. He joined the Navy after September 11, 2001, and his first day in the Navy was January 10, 2002, the day before his 24th birthday. After his time in the Navy he went back to school and graduated from SMU in Dallas. In 2014 he was found to have a brain tumor, (a oligodendroglioma to be precise.) During the biopsy, the doctor nicked a blood vessel which caused a brain bleed which caused Jacob to have a stroke, losing all sensation and motor skills on the right side of his body. Even after many years of rehabilitation he continues to reach out to his community to inspire those around him to never give up.
